September: Hi The Egg ' Forwards Special Edition ' is out now with a freeCD of remixes: Tocadisco, David Guetta, Mylo, Atomic Hooligan , Greg Hunter, and more , so get out there, if you like...

Also a new tune 'nothing' features on the CD, and a Cd rom with photos, and a drum machine, with a movie or two thrown in... Squarepeg records, or on line , at itunes, amazon , etc (ps if you do look on amazon, please dont confuse us with bands called just 'egg'- that's not us: We've 3 albums so far ; Albumen, Travelator, and Forwards..

Anyway thanks for going out and helping us to no.3! it was amazing playing in Ibiza, everyone was djing it everywhere...a real Kevin and Perry moment... ha

Tuesday 15th August: DAVID GUETTA vs the Egg at no.2 in midweek chart positions! please go buy this, and get your mates too, with your help we can get this to no.1 !!!!!!!!!

Well thankyou for packing out the Big Chill Gig last weekend, we were blown away by the crowd reaction, and sorry we couldnt play longer, we had more funked up tunes ready to rock..!! Still, it kicked off with the tocadisco remix...all good but odd, in a good way, playing someone elses take on us, and then jamming it back into an eggness thing...but a good angle we think and you liked it so..and who spotted the new oil share price samples tune ?- its our carbon neutral song to counteract going on a car advert!! ha

..Anyway Well be able to do more another time, theres more gigs coming up, including, just confirmed, Ragged hedge fair (sorry the whole foundation festival was cancelled) but its the same weekend (2nd & 3rd September), and nearby, and itll be great.. Saturday night headline. so all the videos should be there.... Thanks for all your support xxx see Gigs page for all others (Fawlsey Fayre 18th August , Bestival & more)

bit of a hit..If we all buy it at once, who knows....

14th August in the UK... Also featuring the previous club hit, the
Tocadisco extended remix, and available on CD & 12" too. For digital

JULY: HI . been a busy time (again!) As you may have seen , Citroen used the tocadisco remix of our tune'walking away' for their robot dancing and skating car ad on ITV and Channel4. Its been wierd because Pete Tong made it essential new tune, and everyone went a bit nuts.

Then, David Guetta, whos a big DJ in France, mashed it up with some vocals from one of his previous tracks, and bootlegged it out on 12". sounds wierd but happens alot in the music industry . The mash up became a super big hit in the Miami music conference earlier in March , and before you know it, Pete Tong and everyone's playting it, so its kind of unstoppable now.. This week its the Pet Sound on the Jo Whiley show (Radio 1), played every day and released August 14th.on GUT records. a new video sometime too

Weve done a new song, called 'Nothing' out as a single in September, and featuring on the Album 'Forwards', which has been recut, with an extra CD with all the current remixes on too (Mylo, Tocadisco, Abstract Geometry (Greg Hunter)..release September 4th

Also just done a Freddy Mercury remix for EMI who are doing a remix compilation, and Queen approved it, so that's ok!! lots of slide guitar, if you can imagine it....

And were half way through an EP project in tribute to one of the best drummers ever: Toby Pascoe, with contributions from Tiplane, The Egg, Tim Holmes (death in vegas), Greg Hunter and Chris Weston (original ORB members), the cover by Banksy, (toby's best mate). no schedule yet, but watch this space...

see you at the festivals : The Glade, Big Chill, Fawsley Fayre, TDK, Bestival. See Gigs page or our .myspace page...

APRIL: Hey just done a full on video for the GUT record's release of 'Walking Away' Tocadisco remix on April 10th.It was weird and yet wonderfully exhilirating and had us laughing our butts off in places.fun with red boiler suits, red robots, girls, boys, crap dancing, we can do it all...!!...had a great time time with the collision film dudes in Bristol for a few days, and played an impromptu late night stage hijacking slot at Mr Wolfe's to pop the top off the bottle .....Its being shown on MTV dance and a few others at the mo..

Anyway its been the essential new tune on Pete Tong on 12" . but now available in all formats with the upcoming GUT records release with KIKI's mix too and Mylo's mix of' wall' with a remastered original, (which we prefer to the album version by the way. and so did Pete Tong who played it) , and was 8 in the buzz charts last week... so....go get it we may even chart.....@£$%%^^&& hers a bit more info:

Essential New Tune on Pete Tongs Essential Selection BBC Radio 1 show
Number 11 in the DMC Buzz chart
Number 8 in Cool Cuts chart
Number 8 in Music Week Club Chart
Number 4 in DMC Club Chart
Sureplayer in DJmagazine - 4.5/5

Wow just got back from burning man festival in Nevada, which quite frankly, blew our minds..we met some great people, maybe fixed up a few gigs in san francisco, new york, maybe a festival or two, and brought the funk back to its birthplace, ok not atlanta (james browns birthplace), but near enough..and saw some trippy stuff, its quitw a visual festival, rather than a big focus on music, which is good, a few 'art cars' with bands on and much more wierdness besides...anyway we came back for shoreditch carnival last sunday 19th short set eh? technical problems they say - always a good un, that, anyway lots of fun...its be en a crazy ol summer- 10 festivals in all !-

MARCH 04

Sorry its been a while, been very busy getting this album finished, its been nearly nine months now!

Anyway its sounding really good, theres quite a variety of stuff on it, a really full on rocker, and some superfluff mellow, and an edgy funk thing or two, interviewing pissed people in guilford etc .. will say no more for now , but itll be out in july, and you can all run screaming to the hillls , if you like.

The Venice Beach e.p. mellomania-a-like thing is out april 12th. its got surprisingly enough; venice beach, lost at sea, a vocal-ish thing ( and for the pure funksters the instrumental version of that tune ,on the CD ROM section of the cd, which also has games, a drum machine and videos). Greg Hunter (engineer and co collaborator of The Orb's first two albums) has done a great very abstract remix too.

We played supporting SPARKS at the Ocean in Hackney, London on sun 21st March, which was short but good , previewed a few new tracks.... For a full set with projections etc why not come to Neighbourhood (old Subterrania) in Londons Notting Hill on May 27... Fragile State are doing it too...details of tickets to follow soon....

Oh Franz Ferdinand borrowed Maffs drum kit for their 'Matinee' video, that battered old thing, its a classic you know (1974!)

AUGUST 03

thanks to all who made it to glastonbury ,(weve had lots of nice emails aout the lost stage - thanks , its allways great to hear), the green gathering (*big brown gathering actually) and Shambala festival , which was ace.. , sorry to all who thought we were at the liquid do , it was moved from somerset to kent and then cancelled, after police stopped it ( despite it apparently being a legal site etc etc
