NOVEMBER: Hey we just got back from our USA tour!!, From Denver & the mid west to St Louis, Chicago, Maryland, Philly, New England and New York, it completely blew our minds, met some really amazing people, all the gigs were great, the audience went nuts, we went nuts, the tour bus went nuts, our equipment etc etc, recorded a bunch of great gigs, most with some unique moments well put them up promise, just been so busy..! getting this recording together, which weve been doing too. Wierdky everyone ended up in paris 3 days afer returning, all different reasons-- but just back now..and getting on getting on.. Really excited about NOKIA theater in New York City on 27th dec, and 28th Highline Ballroom, both with the disco biscuits- thanks guys.. its gonna rock.. see ya soon...!

SEPTEMBER: Were really pleased to be announcing the TRIBE album to raise funds for SURVIVAL INTERNATIONAL out on Oct 6th. coinciding with Bruce Parry's BBC series AMAZON; Many acts including Hot Chip, The Go! Team, Guy Berryman, Adam freeland and ourselves have done exclusive tracks using samles of African and siberian tribes. You can download tracks individually from itunes , PLAY and to preorder the CD at Amazon .. Check out information at the the Survival website . all the money raised will go help Survivals commitment to helping tribes threatened with losing their livelihoods and homes, something we feel strongly about too.Our track is 'Trails and Tribulations'. Full Album Tracklisting

Well Hasel stock was fun.. Lovely people...& Coming up on the 24th is THE BUTTON FACTORY, Dublin, and then were really excited to be doing a 3 weeek tour of the USA in October, mostly central and east coast, returning for two great shows in New York City on Decmber 27th and 28th..with the Disco Biscuits. Untill updates to our Gigs page are done, have a look at myspace.com/theeggmusic. for information and links

Were also squeezing in some more recording between now and then.. were really excited about that too..A couple of tunes with benji Vaughn and more with Bruno Ellingham (Goldfrapp, New Order) as well as a great tune weve done with Greg hunter

LIVE Camp Bisco movies (you tube)

Before the Bisco gig: Hi were sending this from the USA, up near Albany in New York State, small town called Amsterdam (oh yeah?) just minutes from a truly great festival were playing at : CAMP BISCO.. Home of The Disco Biscuits who host this festival, and have a really good line up of bands from the Jam Band scene out here, including themselves, Telepath, 20/20 soundsystem, Also from back home, Younger Brother which is Simon Posford and Benji Vaughan (Benji produced 'Forwards' and is currently producing more tunes with us). Snoop Dogg and Dj Shadow also doing it.. Its hot sunny and the vibes are good. Alot of the scene out here is to record gigs and put them straight up for download, so unti/ifl we get this gig up, inthat spirit, and also anyhow, we have put up a recent 40 minute gig from London which we love, almost like us remixing ourselves.. see the contact page or click here to go straight to Download

ALSO Were excited about the US release of Forwards.. Its taken a while but were very happy about it. Its out now on Spectacle Entertainment , part of Neurodisc.. a great label based in Florida, and with Fontana distribution, ... available evrywhere in the States, and also available across Europe, Japan, Australia and Brazil..This version has 'nothing on it' no! we mean 'nothing' the track, on it. Ha ha ,...that is a grindingly obvious joke done too many times

Weve also been setting up a Download page, starting with some live recordings, from Glastonbury festival, and london.. well see how it goes, and whether it works, then we'll add more. try the 'Contact' page , then on 'buy albums online'... Cheers. or click above. let us know what you think

..right.. meanwhile were busy working on our next album, were into the 4th or 5th track now, and hope to have much finished around June . there's some real funky moments in there and some psychedelic soundscapes. `were doing a few tunes with Benji Vaughan, as we did with Forwards, and some with Bruno Ellingham, who has worked with New Order, Goldfrapp, Steve Osborne, you name it.., And also writing and creating music with ourselves and Shaun Hunter, who also does our live sound. just done a new tune 'A bit' which we like more than just a bit actually..

Greg Hunter (Orb Engineer and collaborator of first 2 albums) has done a track with us too... (he also did the Abstarct geometry mix on theForwards Special edition colection).. and weve done a few days at Miloco in Hoxton Sq, London, 2 tunes; Catch and Sincere eyes, not sure what will wont be included finally on the new album, but got a feeling its going to be more uptempo than the last. Were sort of feeling our way, and had some very funky moments already, also some very textural and almost shoegazeyish moments in the way 'nothing' is. Ulrich Schnauss, whose music we love is doing a mix for us of a vocoder type tune and album wise, Theres about 20 tunes in all to choose from, which we love

Were really focusing on recording right now so trying to avoid live gigs for a little while, and Ideas are coming up faster than we put them down at the moment which is always a good thing, maybe well post a few bits and bobs up. feedback is always a very good thing from egg listeners/ appreciators, what kind of things you like the best. a good place is at myspace.com/theeggmusic.

Theres some really good live recordings from Cargo aand Glastonbury too, which just need mixing...

Also see at our myspace page that aswell as the UK, Weve got some gigs coming up in USA this year , New York city in March , California in May, and at CAMP BISCO in July the festival put on by the Disco Biscuits, including aswell as them and us, acts such as The Bays, possibly Air etc, and many electronic/ dance events from the states and elsewhere. A central focus of the US Jam Band scene, Were very pleased to be asked....There was great feedback after our gig at the Atlanta echo project in october xx see you all soon

November 07: Hi. We all had a great time in Marrakech, Morocco at the Puro desert Lounge with Giles Peterson, Coldcut, Bryan Ferry.etc.It was a crazy big old fort with amazing lighting. right inthe heart of the old town- probably the most beautiful venue weve ever played in... And the week before that was the echo festival in Atlanta, deeeeep south USA, with the Killers, flaming Lips, Michael Franti, Cypress Hill, Polyphonic Spree , The Bravery. It was ace by the way, and hot, but freezing at night. Camping in mid October, who'd have thought it? We obviously integrated full on into the festival and did a second gig mixing it up with Dj Chris Grass playing electro house on the Sunday night, with the whole band, and laptop/percussion set with him & Michaelangelo @ Halo Lounge, Atlanta the next night. see myspace.com/theeggmusic for youtube video. We met the Disco Biscuits and talked of future gigs together.... lotsa fun lotsa fun. were talking about future tours and festivals next year in the Staes, and Forwards is coming out there in February... Been trying out a few gigs with just laptops, keyboard bass and guitar, more electronic, and DJ oriented..we all rocked out at halloween..

Well thankyou for packing out the Big Chill Gig last weekend, we were blown away by the crowd reaction, and sorry we couldnt play longer, we had more funked up tunes ready to rock..!! Still, it kicked off with the tocadisco remix...all good but odd, in a good way, playing someone elses take on us, and then jamming it back into an eggness thing...A good angle we think, and you liked it, so..and who spotted the new oil share price samples tune ?- its our carbon neutral song to counteract going on a car advert!! ha

..Anyway Well be able to do more another time, theres more gigs coming up, including, just confirmed, Ragged hedge fair (sorry the whole foundation festival was cancelled) but its the same weekend (2nd & 3rd September), and nearby, and itll be great.. Saturday night headline. so all the videos should be there.... Thanks for all your support xxx see Gigs page for all others (Fawlsey Fayre 18th August , Bestival & more)

A quick reminder, If you haven't heard, UK radio 1 have been
hammering this for the last month and it may go top 5 !!
Its the mash up David Guetta did, with new vocals over the Tocadisco
remix of 'walking away', which has grown from a cheeky bootleg into a
bit of a hit..If we all buy it at once, who knows....
David Guetta VS The Egg " Love dont let me go, out on Gusto records on
14th August in the UK... Also featuring the previous club hit, the
Tocadisco extended remix, and available on CD & 12" too. For digital

JULY: HI . been a busy time (again!) As you may have seen , Citroen used the tocadisco remix of our tune'walking away' for their robot dancing and skating car ad on ITV and Channel4. Its been wierd because Pete Tong made it essential new tune, and everyone went a bit nuts.

Then, David Guetta, whos a big DJ in France, mashed it up with some vocals from one of his previous tracks, and bootlegged it out on 12". sounds wierd but happens alot in the music industry . The mash up became a super big hit in the Miami music conference earlier in March , and before you know it, Pete Tong and everyone's playting it, so its kind of unstoppable now.. This week its the Pet Sound on the Jo Whiley show (Radio 1), played every day and released August 14th.on GUT records. a new video sometime too

Weve done a new song, called 'Nothing' out as a single in September, and featuring on the Album 'Forwards', which has been recut, with an extra CD with all the current remixes on too (Mylo, Tocadisco, Abstract Geometry (Greg Hunter)..release September 4th

Also just done a Freddy Mercury remix for EMI who are doing a remix compilation, and Queen approved it, so that's ok!! lots of slide guitar, if you can imagine it....

And were half way through an EP project in tribute to one of the best drummers ever: Toby Pascoe, with contributions from Tiplane, The Egg, Tim Holmes (death in vegas), Greg Hunter and Chris Weston (original ORB members), the cover by Banksy, (toby's best mate). no schedule yet, but watch this space...

see you at the festivals : The Glade, Big Chill, Fawsley Fayre, TDK, Bestival. See Gigs page or our .myspace page...

APRIL:Hey just done a full on video for the GUT record's release of 'Walking Away' Tocadisco remix on April 10th.It was weird and yet wonderfully exhilirating and had us laughing our butts off in places.fun with red boiler suits, red robots, girls, boys, crap dancing, we can do it all...!!...had a great time time with the collision film dudes in Bristol for a few days, and played an impromptu late night stage hijacking slot at Mr Wolfe's to pop the top off the bottle .....Its being shown on MTV dance and a few others at the mo..

Anyway its been the essential new tune on Pete Tong on 12" . but now available in all formats with the upcoming GUT records release with KIKI's mix too and Mylo's mix of' wall' with a remastered original, (which we prefer to the album version by the way. and so did Pete Tong who played it) , and was 8 in the buzz charts last week... so....go get it we may even chart.....@£$%%^^&& hers a bit more info:

Essential New Tune on Pete Tongs Essential Selection BBC Radio 1 show
